Digital Garden? Tell me more!

Howdy!

So, digital garden is, basically, a place in the internet you can call your own, without the "professional tying" related to blogs neither the information-driven wikis.

The main motivation one can have towards having it's own digital garden is to turn their informative notes into something public, which can be easily accessible, then shared and discussed upon.

You don't need to think a lot about it, to be honest. Just follow this thought chain:

Chain

  1. I want to store notes about something I thought, read, watched or studied about;
  2. I also want to organize them in a way I can easily link and improve, withoung being tied to temporal barriers;
  3. I create a digital garden.

Let's say you start reading about... - I don't know - the life of ostrichs.

As soon as you initial curiosity span ends, you can start by just writing a note, like:

Ostrich

Today I learned about Ostrich. Such amazing creatures.

Did you know their eggs are bigger than a human hand?

Good job, you planted your first "info seed"! You don't need to force yourself to grow it, you can just leave as it, however, the first step is the most important one and you just made it.

...

So, time pass on and you feel curious about ostrichs again, however this time you want to dive deeper on this rabb- ostrich hole.

You read Wikipedia articles and documentaries and you find out amazing stuff about them. You want to share this info, but you shouldn't just copy the info from those articles and documentaries. You need to write your own words about your understanding about the subject.

So, you go back to that Ostrich seed and start putting some information on it, like:

Ostrich

Today I learned about Ostrich. Such amazing creatures.

Did you know their eggs are bigger than a human hand?

Update: So, I did some research about Ostrich life. I was in awe realizing they can be tall as a human person. Can you imagine having a bird as big as you?

By the way. [...]

You can use any language and format as you want, because it's yours after all, you don't need to follow some strict rules or something like that. That's why you should try making your own Digital Garden!
